The historic mining town of Louisville (pronounced "Lewis-ville" not "Louie-ville") has jumped in recognition in a big way. Along with being named Money Magazine's "Best Place to Live" in 2009 and 2011, it also placed among the top ten "Best Towns for Families" in Family Circle magazine's July 2012 edition. What makes Louisville so great? Its thriving Main St scene keeps getting better, with more local restaurants and shops being opened all the time. The summer music concert series, Street Faire, Farmer's market, and the Winter outdoor ice skating rink and free horse drawn carriage rides offer something for everyone. New and improved public facilities, such as the library in Old Town, and Louisville Community Park provide fantastic gathering places, and host a variety of events year round. It is a safe town, with great schools and a real feeling of community, interwoven with 26 miles of trails and bicycle paths, 26 city parks, and 1800 acres of open space. Louisville is conveniently located along the US 36 corridor which leads south/east to Denver, the airport, and the plains, and north/west to Boulder and the mountains. I love living in Louisville with my family, and would be happy to share my insider knowledge with you.
